What is autopolishing?

Autopolish protects and seals car paint. By polishing the car paint, a thin high-gloss protective layer of modified polymers or natural waxes is created. Autopolishs often contain abrasives made of chalk or high-quality synthetic fabrics. The autopolish thus lowers corroded, worn lacquer layers and thus smooths out the paint surface. Various additives can be added to the autopolish, which enhance the properties of the polish to a system maintenance. Dirt-repellent properties, also known as lotus effect, are particularly in demand. In their consistency, more fluid autopolishes can be easily processed by hand. Important: You should follow the package leaflet and only edit smaller sections so that the polish does not completely dry up. Otherwise as already read from other reviews…. very much effort. Result: Impeccable… Durability…. will show up.

The product was jerky. Then polished my friend’s car this morning. Have applied the paint as prescribed, which worked great with the supplied microfiber cloth. The polish was applied really well and polished off again after an application time. Smaller scratches have even disappeared and the later rain, because of course it had to rain again today, really peeled off.

After curing this protective layer, the paint is significantly more impact- and scratch-resistant after sealing. The protective layer, which is only a few microns thick, also protects the car paint from environmental influences and ultraviolet light and thus actively counteracts the corrosion and aging of the paint.

Due to environmental pollution, insects and birds, car paint is quickly dirty. By sealing the car paint with a protective layer, the latter can be protected. The additive PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) increases or improves the contact angle of the paint surface to such an extent that a hydrophobic, i.e. water-repellent and thus also dirt-repellent surface is created. As a result, dirt particles can no longer adhere to the car paint so quickly or are simply washed off by normal raindrops. Thus, it is much less necessary to clean the car and drive it into the washing system. Since the washing line also generates micro-scratchers on the car paint due to its mechanical working method, the car paint is spared and of course money is saved by less frequently necessary washroad visits.

Tips & Basics on using carron® Professional Auto Polish & Sealing:

• Work piece by piece in a maximum of 0.5 m2 of space
• Drying of carron® – Sealing should be avoided
• Therefore, if possible, do not work in the blazing midday sun

Wie oft sollte man Autopolitur anwenden?
